In 2021, BKKBN noted that the divorce rate in Indonesia reached 581 thousand, with the number of marriages at that time around 1.9 million.
The Head of BKKBN, Hasto Wardoyo, said that since 2015, the divorce rate in Indonesia has increased rapidly due to "Toxic People" being the cause.
"At this time, the divorce rate is rising due to the number of couples whose families of origin are toxic people who meet sane people, sane people meet toxic people, or both are toxic. In the end, there is a feud and divorce occurs," said Hasto.
Not only that, Hasto also revealed that a family must be educated with enough asah, asih and foster.
